Research & Product Development

GAP has a self contained research and development department staffed with scientists specialized in diverse areas (pharmacists, chemists, biologists) with considerable experience in Greece and abroad.

The main mission of this department is to develop new, generic drugs as well as to improve the effectiveness and safety of known ingredients through the usage of new pharmaceutical forms.

The department also develops other health products such as OTC, personal care and food supplements.

The research and development department is involved in the following areas:

• Development of syntheses and production methods
• Development of procedures and control methods for semi finished and finished products.
• Validation of the aforementioned methods for effectiveness and repetition on an industrial scale.
• Coordination of research centres and clinics for the validation of product safety and effectiveness through clinical tests and bioequivalences.
• Development of technical dossiers for the approval of new products.
